RN in the finals for best print and online Fanzine of the Year 2009

The Fanzine of the Year Awards 2009 have reached their third and final stage after being assessed by the judges and before they choose their ultimate winner for each category.

After being nominated by voters (and thanks to all who did vote for RN at the start of this process) in the initial stage, each fanzine was then assessed by the judges and the lists reduced to the final 10 and we are proud to announce Red News has reached the final stage of three nominations chosen by the judges at http://www.footballfanzineawards.com - and is one of the remaining 10 nominations on the lists for

We are proud to be honest to be on not just the one, but three of the lists; which we hopef highlights all the hard work that goes into the mag and site by so many Utd fans giving their precious time to produce a fanzine and site for Reds by Reds. Red News is in its 23rd year, and we continue to adapt, going all colour this season, with the fanzine continuing to be at the heartbeat of the whole RN Empire!

If you haven't tried the fanzine yet, or last did in the year dot when we first started, you really should see what the mag is like these days, because the judges liked what they see, and we are sure you will too.

Cheers for all the support, and though we won't get any Kate Winslet like speeches ready, we are very happy to have made the final nominations for the fanzine Oscars, 2009!

Till their limb's grew stiff and cold, their heart's blood dyed its every fold. So raise United's banner high, under its shade we'll live and die. Keep the faith and never fear, we'll always fly the red flag here. We'll never die, we'll never die, we'll never die, we'll never die. So keep the red flag flying high, cause Man United will never die.
