OTTENHAM will battle Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is actually tracking two Dortmund players – Gundogan and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, 24.
Fergie raided Dortmund in the summer for Shinji Kagawa, a deal which could *eventually cost the Old Trafford club *£17million.
And he is set to return with a new, double bid. But Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas will fight Fergie for £20m-rated Gundogan, who is 22 on Wednesday.
The Turkey-born Germany international is one of Europe’s most wanted men.
