Crewe Alexandra boss - Steve Davis
"Macclesfield have been on a bad run and they are fighting for their lives at the bottom. When players' livelihoods and careers are on the line then you can expect a really difficult game. They are going to produce that little bit extra for the cause and will keep going right to the end.
"We have to maintain our level and the standard we have set ourselves. I have warned the players against complacency and I won't have it here. I have seen it in the past when players have relaxed after a couple of wins and you cannot be over confident because they are all tough games.
"When we returned to training yesterday, the players were sloppy in the first 10/15 minutes after coming back, so I nailed them for it. I am always on to them and not allowing them to rest on their laurels.
"I've told them that they have to mentally ready for these games. I asked them who had watched the Manchester United game at Wigan on Wednesday night and a few of them said they had.
"I told them that was the perfect example of a team full confidence after an unbeaten run going up against a team fighting for survival. United are eight points clear at the top of the league with everyone saying that the title race is over and for whatever reason they didn't perform to their usual standard, which is very unlike them, but it can happen.
"It is a similar situation to ours at Macclesfield so we have to be ready."
