Manchester United question Athletic Bilbao over £77.50 ticket price

Manchester United have contacted Athletic Bilbao to query the Spanish club charging £77.50 a ticket for their supporters to attend the away leg of the Europa last-16 tie on 15 March. United will be charging only £36 to Bilbao fans for the first-leg match a week earlier.


The club have been allocated 1,715 tickets for Estadio San Mamés and while Bilbao have told United that their own support will also be charged £77.50, United are making further inquiries regarding why the price is so high.


Danny Welbeck, who should start for England against Holland in the friendly at Wembley on Wednesday evening, is claiming "there's nothing going to stop" United winning a 20th championship.

Emmanuel Adebayor has called on Tottenham to show they are still capable of winning the Barclays Premier League by bouncing back from their hammering at Arsenal with a win over Manchester United this weekend.

Spurs went in to Sunday's game at the Emirates Stadium confident of doing the double over their rivals for the first time in 19 years but they went down to a humiliating 5-2 loss after a stunning comeback from the Gunners.

The defeat put a severe dent in Spurs' title hopes - they trail leaders Manchester City by 10 points - and also increased Arsenal and Chelsea's hopes of catching Harry Redknapp's team, who sit third in the table.
